AQA igcse physics paper 1

How did everybody find the exam
pretty easy, you?
so so
What did everyone put for the last question about the induction cooker?
I loved that paper so much!
That 6 marker was one of the best things I could have dreamed for!

The one about the advantages?
I put cheaper, because gas is expensive and no risk/smaller risk of fire.

Yiu?

I put less chance of electrocution and then it was cheaper cause there was no need for electricity

What are the answers to:

The metal pan above the ac wire?
The increase in current?
Why radio waves couldn't be in cosmic microwave background radiation?
After 45 minutes, the KW the light bulb thingy?

it asked for advantages of the induction cooker, not the advantages of the normal cooker.

I think the KW one was 130.
45/60 = 0.75 and you had to find it on the graph.
The rest I made up absolute BS for.
sorry I meant the how the induction worked with the AC wire
worst exam ever

All I knew to say was delocalised electrons in the metal pan can carry charge 1/4 marks I guess :frown:

wish i could help out but i mega messed these and the other questions up
easier than i thought but i know i really messed up
The pan was about induction;
-The ac wire creates an alternating magnetic field
-Magnetic field is moving (because it is alternating) so is cut by the pan
-Induces a voltage
-Because it is a complete circuit, induces a current,

The metal pan, it was like a transformer so the alternating magnetic field was cut by the pan and so a p.d was induced and therefore a current was induced.
Increase in current, i put closer to wires, more wires and a bigger pan?
Radio waves, have longer wavelength than microwaves so the universe would be getting smaller if the explosion was radio waves
I think i got 142KW

I FOUND IT HARD!!!

I got 142 and the expanding thing, but the pan one threw me off so much forgot what to put... 😩
