Eu: In or out?

Scroll to see replies

On question time last week the question was raised is it racist to vote leave?

It is actually racist to remain. By remaining we are discriminating against the majority of the world in exchange for little Europe.

The choice is little Europe or Great Britain.

#Vote leave
You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out.
In out, in out you shake it all about.
You do the hokey pokey and you turn about.
That's what it's all about, HEY!

Yeap. I've seen you around on this forum a lot. You're always copying things from other websites and posting them here.

Your choice of words show that you have no respect for the office of the Prime Minister. After writing what you wrote on the leaflet, did you actually send it back to Downing Street?

So tell me. Why are you against UK staying in the EU?

Problem with that?

No because I doubt it would've reached there tbh.

Uncontrolled immigration is one of the reasons. I don't understand how a talented doctor from India/China has to go through such a long process to get into here but unskilled workers can just come in here. A few other countries plan to join the EU; one of them has the lowest employment rate in Europe. The minimum wage is expected to go up in 2020 and so if people from that country (I think it's Bosnia) decided to come here, you'd have uncontrolled immigration, which is never a good thing.

Other reason that got to me the most was how much is given to the EU. I remember reading £350 million is given away. Pretty sure if the government invested that in education or social security, the UK would be better off.

And criminals not being able to be deported because of EU law. Never understood what kind of law stops them but yeah.

You? Would you see Germany in or out?

isnt it suspicious that David Cameron, Obama, Corbyn, Clegg, Miliband, Brown, Sadiq Khan, and all kinds of leaders leaning from right to left all support remaining in the EU, when the only buffoons supporting out are Farage, IDS, Boris Johnson and Michael Gove.

Are all of the former idiots and inexperienced?
Shake it all about

That would also be the remain vote: Cross our fingers and hope our national sovereignty isn't slowly eroded away to unelected officials.

Except that based upon history, that would be a very vain hope.

Histrionics aside, the argument is national sovereignty vs economic security. It's as simple as that. Neither side are demonic, neither are fools. Attempting to paint them as such is a disservice to whichever side you choose to do so to.

Alternately, allow me to create a quote you and the other side can use freely. Just copy and paste.

You now have basically the perfect political post. It fits for literally anything.

'National sovereignty at risk'
Ah the typical cringey brexiter.

Aside from the fact that Corbyn and Cameron both dislike the EU and were pushing to leave before the referendum

And you change topic...
Every international and financial organisation wants us to stay in.

But of course you know better right?
You guys can't debate on substance because you don't have any. Instead you just bring out cringey hollow statements like 'restore our sovereignty' etc.

The Brexit campaign has been one of hollow scaremongering and frankly I can't wait to see the disappointment from you guys when this country chooses not to give in to hollow populism.

Let's get some common ground here, work out where you stand.

Do you like democracy? Do you agree that democracy is one of the founding pillars of western civilisation?

I like democracy of course but I don't see the EU as that undemocratic. I like the alas it makes.

Furthermore democracy isn't always best in every circumstance. Our Supreme Court is not elected nor is the House of Lords but both play a vital and important role.

I'd rather have an organisation that works and guarantees worker rights rather than an artificial, abstract feeling of 'sovereignty'.

Can you name me one EU law that you dislike?

Considering David Cameron went as far as saying that leaving the EU would cause a WW3, yes he is an idiot.

Can't think of a single argument for remaining. The handling of the migrant crisis, immigration, Ukraine, ISIL security, multinational corporations, manufacturing and the euro in general should be enough to convince any sane person that we shouldn't be governed by an elite in Brussels...

You're asking for a lot here.

Tbh, I don't care about what talking heads say or don't say. Afaik Tony Benn and George Galloway want out and Tony Abbott and Theresa May in so you might as well call Remain a right wing proposition.

Boris is more trustworthy than Cameron. Farage has always had the same clear position unlike Corbyn and Obama has much less idea and experience of the EU than any of the leavers you mentioned.

I don't care anyway.
