How do ums marks work for business studies edexcel gcse?

Please someone help me. I got an A* for the controlled assessment and B for unit 1 and unit 3 i havent done yet.
they total the points you get and then the total mark is based against the overall grade.

For example

A* = 90 UMS
B= 70 UMS

Therefore you get 160 UMS wwhich i believe is equilivant to a B or an A

its equivalent to an A i just checked but how is a B 70 UMS points i dont get it

well it is based on marks. Whatever mark you get on the test is marked to a grade e.g. 45/60 = B.

Then the grade is equal to a certain number of points

That was his example. Wasn't business studies specifically. Each exam will be worth a specific number of UMS points and each raw mark is worth a certain number of UMS points.

No because I don't know your individual UMS points.
