U see the triangle and the shaded area?
we had to find the area of the shaded area

the two long sides were equal and were both root 2 over 2.
the shorter sides was smaller and was root 3 over 3.
we then had to times root 2 over 2 by itself then divide by 2, then do the same but with root 2 over 2 x root 3 over 3 then divide that by 2.
Finally had to minus the larger area by the smaller to get the smaller one.
I got that

3.5x10^6 / 5x10*^-3

350000 / 0.005

700000/0.01

70000000/1

70000000 = 7x10^8

High B

If you get 68, on the next one that should bring you to an A...

student room garde boundaries are always usually wrong. The A* for this will probs be mid 80 as it wasnt too bad. I got 81% with harsh marking

So how much do you need out of 200 for like a B?
have u included the working out what u have done if u got a answer wrong
For the vectors question if I wrote 1/4 (3a +3b) instead of 3/4 (a+b) is that still right? And will it get 3 marks?
I got 1-√6 over 4 for the last question.

I wrote 3-√6 over 12 above it, but for some stupid reason, thought i could simplify further so i divided the 3 and 12 by 3 and wrote that as my final answer :angry: Think the marker will still give me the mark, considering i still WROTE the correct answer in the workings section or no? :closedeyes:

question 16 i got 7x10 to the 2??? how do you get 7 x 10 to the 8?

oh i stupidly realised that when subtracting the powers i didn't take into account that it is essentially 10 to the 6 --3 meaning it gets added
Unofficial mark scheme for maths please Foundation today
Really?? I remember a past paper (2012) I think & it was 62 for a C. Are you sure 67 is an A? It seems like quite low for an A.

For question 9, the answer was
T = 5x + 20y

but I wrote: T = 5(x+4y). will I still get the mark?
