2 sides were 12 cm long, 2 were 8 cm long - the other side was not given. The angle between the 12 cm and 8 cm lines was 105 degrees

not it was the 10th or 19th i dont remember but i wrote 24.1

I think you want to be looking at the volume of the sphere rather than the diameter for that question.

The answer for that question was 1637.
Upper bound of the side of the cube was 4.75 cm=47.5mm.
Lower bound of the radius of the sphere was 2.5mm.
Therefore the maximum number can be figured out by dividing the max volume of the cube by the minimum volume of the sphere.
1=Max volume cube = 47.5^3
2=Max volume sphere = 4/3 Pie R^3 = 4/3*pie*2.5^3
Divide 1 by 2 and you get 1637.465632.
However you cannot have 0.465632 of a sphere, so there are 1637 spheres which can be made from the cube.

It said that 4.5cm was to the nearest 0.5 cm, not 0.1cm.
For the cube and sphere question

There has been a lot of debate as to whether the answer was 1439 or 1637

Here is the solution

4.5cm correct to the nearest 0.5cm
You can rewrite that as 45mm correct to the nearest 5mm
The upper bound of the length is therefore 47.5mm (not 45.5mm - that would be if it was to the nearest 0.1cm)

47.5^3 = 107171.875

The sphere has a radius of 3mm to the nearest mm so the lower bound is 2.5mm
The volume of the sphere is therefore 4/3pi x 2.5^3
=125/6 pi

Then you just divide 107171.875/125/6pi which gives you 1637.465...

for the trig question can anyone remember the sides of the triangle
How was it 51% for the Rupees question?? it said he gave 3/5 of his money to max... and then you had to work out the percentage in comparison to the original.

Bahrain got 3500.
Therefore he gives 3/5 away to Max.... 3/5=2100
Bhavin is left with 3500-2100= 1400
then the percentage out of original 6000 rupees = 1400/6000 x 100= 23%
