I got 16x/65
It was something like ..

y/(y+x) = (4/9)^2
y/(y+x) = 16/81
Cross Multiply ;
81Y = 16X + 16Y
(81-16)y = 16X
65Y=16X
Y=16X/65

Y was the area of the small triangle. X was the area of quadrilateral. So total area was (x+y)

so you just do

y^2 = x^2 / 2.25^2

which is =

y^2 = x^2 / 5.0625

then you square root that so you get

y= √(x / 5.0625)

isnt that right? what'd you do?
there was an inequality question too. values were -2, -1, 0, 1 ,2

for the question with two similar shapes, first answer was 16.25cm
second answer was 2cm

and the question of functions,
f(0.5) = 0.2
ff(-1) = 0.2
inverse of x / 3x+1 = -3x + 1

thats all i can remember from my answers
Where did you get 4/9 from? Isn't the scale factor 2.25?

There's a formulae you use for these type of questions it's
Area1/area2=lenght1^2/lenght2^2

It's essentially the same thing your saying. Just a different method - he did 4/9 and y/y+x
But if you do 9/4 you get 2.25 which is your scale factor

I think it was 35, Not really sure though i don't remember
I looked at the unofficial mark scheme, and I think I got 77/100. I asked my Maths teacher and he said if I get that again in the calculator paper, then I'll get an A!
