Also dos anyone get oxygen for that which element ionisation number thing? I can't remember is it was period 3 or 2 and I'm shitting myself in case it's sulphur instead, as it was the 7th ionisation energy right?

Do you mean the question that gave you the table of ionisation energies?
The answer was sulfur for that one

0.451/0.453 m3 but not sure that is right, checked it over and over and couldn't see why not

And mass of 1065000 something grams

Yeahh same

I can't see why the anseer is 0.113
I'm sure it's 0.451/453 tbh
And I got that amount of grams too
Overall I'm VERY happy with how this exam went but I feel like it was harder than the others due to new types of questions. anything got an idea of grade boundaries?

When drawing the 3 isomers
Position- just change the double bond so it's on a different carbon
Functional group - change it from an alkene to n alkane, remove the double c bond
What about for chain isomerism?

That's the chain isomer
I got 0.113 for volume too

2,2,3-trimethypentane anyone?

Was it not 2,2,4?

did you not do g/mr to get moles then do the ratio to get moles for gas

I got the exact same but it's wrong somehow - everyone else got 0.113

Did you change the 500 degrees into 773 Kelvin?

Chain: 2-Methylpropene
Position: But-2-ene
Functional gr: Cyclobutane

Yep, what you got
Functional group is always a cyclo shape

you could say oxygen deviates for the question about which element deviates the trend in period 3

I talked about aluminium deviating

Was sulfur mate, the jump was on the 7th electron removed and sulfur only has 6 in its valence shell.
oh no it was period 3! I hate it when I lose marks because I was being silly not because I didn't know the answer
Original post by emsieMC
So....I got it right? yay! I wasn't sure because I know the shape and it only had one electron pair, but I didn't know if it affected both angles by 2.5/2.

You can have either, and that is correct, I don't know why people are saying its 3 bonding pairs and 1 lone pair? That is absolute trash.
Wasn't the formula for that molecule 2,2,4 trimethyl then whatever molecule it was?

what exam is this?

I talked about aluminium deviating

The question insinuated you could choose either one, I'm sure you'll be fine both correct answers.
