What did you get for the half equation with ClO- to produce chloride water or something ?
And what was the overall equation that you got

I got 2ClO- + 4H+ + 2e- --> Cl2 + 2H2O

Overall
2ClO- + 4H+ + 2Cl- --> 2Cl2 + 2H2O
( not sure if this is right though )

I thought the most polar molecule was BF3
And I thought the reducing agent was C2O4

BF3 has polar bonds but since there are no lone pairs and bonds are identical, dipoles cancel out and its a non polar molecule.ClF3 had 2 lone pairs making it the most polar

Ohh okay, and what about the reducing agent, C2O4 or Cr2O7 ?

What do you think the grade boundaries will be?

what did everyone think of the exam doe?:frown:

Put it this way the whole class cried
I didn't even answer most of it
For the question where is was the same electron configuration as krypton, was the answer selenium or strontium?

Do you think it will be 60 for an A?

Same, I ran out of time and had to rush the multiple choice so I guessed some of the wordy ones.

I think/hope it will be around 60 because it's a new spec :s-smilie:

I put strontium
What type of bonding was it between Aluminium and Nitrogen? Was it dative?

Yeah

Yes that's what I wrote. The lone pair from nitrogen is donated to aluminium.

Then the bond angle decreases to 109.5degrees because there are 4 bond pairs
