You're welcome  One other thing, a good conclusion for the question could be that modern liberals haven't broken away from classical liberals, they have simply updated the classical theories to apply to a modern world

yes thank you mate
i really hope that is the question.....because I think thats the only question where i may be able to get a decent grade

How's revision going for you? Also out ecologism and nationalism which is easier and quicker to learn? I have revised feminism and multiculturalism...but haven't even touched the other two:frown:
Can someone help me out because I don't really get UMS..

So I got 91 UMS average last year, what would I need this year (raw marks) to get an A and B? I know it's an average of 69 UMS for an A and 49 UMS for a B but how does that translate to marks (roughly, of course).

It's okayish, a lot of my marks depends on the types of questions that comes up though. It hard to say which one is easier, but imo it's nationalism has it's about culture and race which is easier to identify with. It uses a bit of liberalism and conservatism (and socialism to a lesser exent) as well. I actually don't know anyone taking multiculturalism, I don't really like the exam questions they ask :colonhash:

I haven't come across one person who is feeling confident... A bit scary... Perhaps the grade boundaries will reflect that though!
Are you doing ideologies?

I thought grade boundaries don't change for a-levels?
How would you structure this: ‘Nationalism is a recipe for peace and internationalorder.’ Discuss. (45)

That's a tricky question isn't it?

It's not too bad . I'm just wondering whether you would include other strands beside Liberal and Expansionist one and if you would do it strand by strand or thematically ?
Does anyone have any predictions for unit 3c of 4c - also do you think they'll ask new questions?

You should nearly always include all main strands in 45 markers. In this case, I would say liberal agrees most with the statement, expansionist disagrees the most and conservative and anti colonial is somewhere in between.

I know but in the mark scheme there's no mention of Anti colonial and conservative and in exam report the example included these too and the marker said it's wrong as it doesn't answer the question

You know for conservatism the main strands are one nation, new right, traditional right?
Liberalism it's just modern and classical lol

The marks scheme is only a guideline to what your answer should be focused on; it doesn't include all relevant things. The report does state that the argument should be primarily focused on liberal and expansionist nationalism, but you still can include the other two strands if the points you make about them are relevant to the question. Just make clear that the two most important strands in this case are liberal and expansionist.
