I'll be revising ideologies throughout this week and next week so I can do some of the questions at least but I don't do the US system

I hope so too! Maybe they'll feel lazy this year and just recycle questions, there's only so many ways you can ask about ideologies. I need an A for uni, but an A* would be lovely, albeit being a bit unlikely. What questions are you doing today?

Have noticed a pattern in the unit 3 questions that they have been using some of the questions from the earlier years for the past few exams so I'm hoping that will be the case this year as well.
I need an A as well to get into uni 😬
I'm writing up the answers for Jan 2010 in bullet point form for liberalism (unit 3B) right now, will post them later on here so people can add/correct stuff if needed

EDIT: I won't write up as much answers as I said before the edit as I want to revise all my subjects today

My teacher was saying this the other day, hopefully they don't throw a curveball this year

What are the predictions though
How would you answer is 'conservatism a ruling class ideology'
Would you mention stuff relevant today like universal tax credits cuts vs Cameron gov granting same sex marriage and help to buy?
Hi,

I'm not sure if someone has already said this but I wanted to mention it just incase. All the nationalism questions are the same. Over the years every single question had to be answered with the same points just moulded towards the question. Forward looking - liberalism and socialism. Backward looking - conservatism and fascism. Forward looking brings peace, backward looking is destructive and expansionist. Etc. Just learn a paragraph for each one of those and every question can be answered with those paragraphs as long as you link back and mould it so that it fits.

Hope that helps someone
Does anybody have predictions for the unit 3 exam? I think I am dreading the politics exams the most to be honest :frown:

Can you expand
I really struggle with nationalism
I hate revising for politics  I keep starting it, getting bored, then revising a different subject :argh:
Okay guys, got a 45 marker I have no idea how to answer...

'Anarchism demands the impossible, discuss'

I know it's about Utopianism but how do you answer this as a 45 marker...
As far as I'm concerned this question and the one about comparing collectivist and individualist anarchism are the only 2 that could come up as a 45 marker, so any ideas???

HEEEEEELP PLEASE 😂😂😂

They've never asked any other anarchism question that doesn't mean the same as these 2. Anarchism is like the ideologies in unit 4, when it comes to 45 markers they can only ask a couple or maybe 3... My teacher told us Anarchism was just thrown in unit 3 for balance purposes.

So because they just reword questions, the 45 marker can only be able for anarchism, the two types compared (linking individualism to liberalism and collectivism to socialism) Kropotkin, Proudhom, Sorel, Stirner etc... Or the Utopianism question, basically stating whether or not anarchists are idealistic or realistic.

Why do I think Anarchism will be a 45 marker? It wasn't last year, and AQA have never excluded one ideology as a 45 marker 2 years in a row. I'm sure anarchism will come up, and their variety of questions for it is LIMITED.

And I am a psychic  I'm kidding... But seriously, revise your anarchism big questions, it's a simple ideology when broken down!
