Oxbridge looking at top 8 GCSEs?

So does this mean they don't see your worst 4 grades?
I understand you submit all grades into UCAS so how do they only see 8?:K:
A bit like A-level grades (where they look at top 3 grades, AFAIK), they look at your 'top' grades - they'll see them all but only 'take into account' the top ones - I think anyway! No idea why though
They don't only look at your top 8, they look at them all - at least I thought they did.

On YouTube, SimonOxPhysics (can't remember the name exactly) made a video discussing this with one of the interviewers at Oxford. She discusses how GCSE's impact applications and how Cambridge and Oxford vary in their analysis of GCSE results.

Only regarding their context versus your school, and your school vs the rest of the cohort. They can still look at individual GCSEs if they want.

And in any case GCSEs are not hugely important for either Oxford or Cambridge for most courses.
