No - paedophilic tendencies are classified as mental defective traits by many leading psychological and healthcare organisations. What @hezzlington said was not at all out of line. Grow up - you're the one manipulating what he said, not the other way around.

I did not and @hezzlington did not, justify his actions. We are simply stating that being mentally impaired means the death penalty as a punishment becomes a very sticky issue.

Your first sentence kind of supports the point and at the same time, has little relevance - some people have stronger urges than others and some are more able to act with restraint.
