My college doesn't teach anarchism 😢 Does anyone have any essay plans for it?

What have you been doing for unit 4 then
Original post by xxvine
thanks

what do you see coming up? that qu hasn't come up since jan 2013, but maybe they think its too easy and won't ask it:frown:

This is the reverse order in which the ideologies hasn't come up in 45 markers over the years

A - anarchism, L - liberalism, C - conservatism, S - socialism

A, L, C, S, A, S, L, C, S, A

It's highly likely anarchism will come up this year, with the next most likely to be liberalism

Hi guys I'm struggling on this question I just wanted to confirm if it was correct.

How and why has anarchism been linked to communism? (15)

1 - Humans are social creatures etc

2 - Kropotkin mutual aid theory

3 - Anarchist and Marxist relations of overthrowing the state

Markscheme is poor and the examiner report shows a level 2 answer..

Guys how would you structure a modern Liberlsism vs classical liberalism

I have a feeling that will be the 45 marker

Oh how I hope you're right!! I would be so happy if they asked something along the lines of how far modern liberalism has departed from classical liberalism...

That's terrible teaching if your school won't teach you a certain topic.
Does anyone think something along the lines of ‘Conservatismmerely reflects the interests of the privileged and prosperous.’ Discuss. will come up? Because I would love that question and my teacher gave us an article from the politics review about that question and sometimes what they write in that magazine comes up in the exam

my teacher just said you'd go through traditional and new right conservative saying their view on human nature etc but arguing how it all benefits the working class e.g. belief in authority and hierarchy being natural or neb-lib belief in free market not benefits. We were told you would only do one sided argument as the whole ideology is an ideology for the upper class

really mark scheme says different

says the whole principle of free market, meritocracy mean people can climb the social ladder with hard work etc....

but yeah not much for the other side cos most things suggests one way\
can't you use modern examples

Like cameron's 'big society'....legalising gay marriage, help to buy, and then talk about the disabled cuts to allow the rich tax cut etc..

Yeah I get you I think I'd mention that a little but in a mini paragraph like the main idea is that it is mainly a ruling class ideology

This is from the top of my head but i think for this question you should start off with marx believinv capitalism is exploitive then refer to the scientific study of the laws in history he took along with engles then the 4 stages he found and how every society has conflicts; primitive communism - scarcity of materials, slaves + masters, Fuedalism - serfs + landowners and lastly, capitalism - bourgeoisie + proletariat. Then talk about how there will be a workers revolution which will safeguard any counter-rev from the bourgeoisie as the proletariat will become conscious of their exploitation and so the last stage of society will occur - communism and this is where everyone will be rewarded according to their willingness to help and work in society equally and then you can link the conflict between bourgeoisie and proletariat to say that thats the reason capitalism will fail as every other society has failed

I hope this helped, its very brief but you get the gist
