Just talk about 'old' Labour before Blair/Brown and the 'New Labour' Blair and Brown brought in.
Also with this question you have to talk in the old Labour section how Corbyn is argubly taking Labour back to how it was before Brown and Blair.
Make sure you talk about the split that is going on in the Labour party now with Blair supporters and the old Labour supporters, supporting Corbyn

Thank you so much and do you have any brief examples of the splits
Does anyone on here have any ideas on what will come up tomorrow, I was thinking maybe a EU question would come up or splits in the major parties?

The Mark Scheme no longer specifies, in like 2011 and before that it said to get into threshold 3(which is the highest bracket) need 4 arguments.
So my teacher told me that when it says in the new mark scheme balanced it means 2 for 2 against.

everyones saying different stuff ahaha this guy is saying have 3+3 i'm confusing myself so much

This question won't be worded like that. I think it'd be, to what extent has the Labour Party abandoned the ideas of New Labour?
Then you talk about: Re-nationalisation (railway), higher tax (60p additional rate & mansion tax), less authoritarian/pro war (against Syria and against Trident)
but:
Both factions believed in high spending on NHS and education (received the highest spending a government has given). Both pro-EU too.

Ohh yeah that's true to keep it modern should my main areas to focus on be welfare , the economy , taxation, NHS , Defence and Education??
For the 25 markers, what is everyones timing?

Define Liberal Democracy (5)
Liberal democracy is a type of democracy which combines both liberal anddemocratic features. It is in the main associated with western developed nations.Candidates may be credited if they identify detail on the ‘democratic’ features ofthis type such as free and fair elections, wide suffrage and the use ofrepresentatives to act on citizens’ behalf etc.Candidates may be credited if they identify the ‘liberal’ elements associated withthis type such as constitutionalism, checks and balances and the protection ofindividual freedom etc

Well i'd say that there isn't enough time to do 3 for 3 against fully analysed and evaluated, because remember we only have 25mins to right the full 25 mark essay. But that's how i've been taught to do them so I will stick with 2 for 2 against else my head will go.

Would you lose marks for having an 'unbalanced' answer, say like 3 point for and only 2 against

Go and look at edexcel examiner reports who have sample 25 markers

It depends on the questions some questions are one sided others are balanced I would aim for a balanced argument because on most of the mark schemes it says needs to be balanced.

3 and 2 is perfectly fine
What did Corbyn do to change labour apart from moving them move to the left?

If the question was phrased as "to what extent," it would be fine to have an unbalanced argument, and probably even easier to make a concluding statement, since the pros outweigh the cons (or vice versa) anyway.
Resitting this tomorrow (after getting a high B last year) and very nervous haha
For most 25 markers, 3 and 2 isn't a problem - as long as your argument is around 60/40 balanced or better, you're good
