Still there's a difference between signing a 29yo who hasn't won anything in x years, and signing a 29yo who's just won the biggest prize of his career.

If you look at his goals this season you can see he's got everything in his locker. Look at his goal vs Chelsea, absolute world class movement.

Arsenal fans were excited to sign Drmic and Tony Sanabria who were unknowns, based on some Fifa logic that they'd be top quality after a season or two.

Vardy is actually a premier league proven top quality. If he had lit his way through the Bundesliga or Liga Aldente people people would shouting from the hills.

If anything the press are overrating him!

Didn't Darren Bent score 20+ a couple of times ffs.

The English love to hype their football players.

Still haven't heard a good argument for him being this incredible transfer some are making him out to be. He might be a shrewd purchase at most.

I remember Marcus Stewart outscoring Thierry Henry one year.

Let's not forget James Beattie, Michael Bridges, Andy Johnson, Kevin Doyle, Grant Holt & Ricky Lambert as well who all had 1 good season before reverting back to their usual selves.
