I got root5 over 2, how the hell were you supposed to do that question?? 😂

I think you have to do parallel vectors, there were so many vector question😂
1a 104 degrees
1bi not sure
1bii not sure
1c t=32
2a 20.6
2b 15.5
3 3 Ns
4a sketch 40, 30, 0, 25
4b 8.75
5 0.727
6i 1.2
6ii 42
7a 2.5 I + 2.5 J
7b 13
8a 11.8
8b 16.6

Flip! I didn't give a bearing for the last question, but got 16.6. And I **cked up the second part of the vt graph question.
Otherwise, my answers look pretty similar to yours

Yeh I got all of those answers apart from the Impulse answer with the wall, I got 3Ns, probs got it wrong

These answers are from several people agreeing on them from my year group, should be mostly right

Find the angles using the vectors they gave you, make a triangle of forces, use sine rule to find the magnitude of F2.

Since F2 is parallel to vector (i + j), the lengths would be equal. Then use sine rule again to find the length (which I found to be 2.5)

Can you compare yours to the pic I posted
Does anyone remember what they did for the pan question?
for part a) I used T- particle x g = particles x a
I forgot what i got as an answer though:\
basically I used the values for the whole system instead of just one particle.
Is that right???

I worked it out using simultaneous equations

What did everyone get for the force F2 on the vector question?

2.5i + 2.5j and the speed was 13 m/s

So obvious edexcel trying to trip us up at every corner. First question a vector one! Impulse question was a nightmare, I ended up with 3 Ns.

Moments question: d = 6/5, M=42
First vector one: 104 degrees, 640i + 640j
Lift question: T=20 something I think, R on pan = 15N
Kinematics graph: T=8.75 (or there abouts)
Statics problem: friction coefficient = 0.73
Second vectors: 2.5i + 2.5j and 13m/s
Dynamics pulley: T=11.something or (6g)/5 and resultant = 2Tcos45, at 45 degrees from the horizontal
All those answers from bcmh are correct apart from the Impulse, it was 3Ns

Lol I did this with simultaneous equations 😂

Pretty sure the Impulse was 3
How many marks were allocated to question 6 and 8?

I got 2.5 to 1 d.p for the Impulse question.

grade boundary expectations anyone?
Mind**** thr first time you do it
Is it just me, or did anyone else feel that for some of the questions with a lot marks available (such as q5 and q8a), they did very little working?
