My class have started doing straight line and can someone please explain how to find the gradient when given the angle with positive direction of the x axis, and vice versa please.

Thanks

If you draw a right angle triangle. The gradient will be the opposite over the adjacent sides of the triangle (Δy/Δx). So you will have tanx=gradient.

so for example, the question says the angle is 25 so this means tanx25 ? Which also means the gradient is 25 ?
