what was the angle in the question on the diagram?

I know one of my answers was either 16 or 31 and the other one in the question was 31 or 16.

I think i messed up and got 16 :/

It was 30 degrees but you had to find the angle of the whole of that angle which worked out as 60.07...... or something like that, and then you subtracted 30 from it, then rounded it to 3 sig

nooo you can't cancel it, 3-x isn't the same as x-3 that's like saying 3-5 is the same as 5-3

You can if you take out -1 from the top
Original post by SalopJack
Nope.

what you do is make x= 3.75 and if it is below 34, which it was you round the number up as you know that x is larger than 3.75 but lower than 3.8. any number above 3.75 rounds up to 3.8.

Because there is a smaller difference it does not mean that it is right as the difference is smaller as it does not increase at a constant rate. the number increases increasingly.

3.8 was the right answer

3.75 was correct however the question stated 1.dp so =3.8

i think i got around 73 on paper 1 and 85 on paper 2- what grade would that be

An A possibly an A* if grade boundaries go up to 160 at the highest i actually pray they do

That is true i done the angle as 40 degrees really the question should of said give solutions to 3sf or w.e but we should be able to pick up at least 5 marks right?

I honestly think (and hope) they'll accept a range of 81.1 - 81.4 because they are sometimes lenient with rounding in calculations (to 2/3 dp/sf)

Hopefully we'll get 6 marks :x

The mean question with the grouped frequency table was 7.29 or something around that

yes I got something like that

also, that was the question where you had those triangles on top of each otther and you had to use trigonometry to find the side, then use that side and the other one to find the angle?

I'm pretty sure i read that x is the smaller angle and got like 16 or 18 or w/e lol

Maybe i messed up with calculating the side :/

For the trial and improvement one my few ids were saying they got 3.7 but I got 3.8 and I was 100% sure that was right?

Posted from TSR Mobile

I got the same
