Wait but why would u have to work out the arc length of inside sector,u only need the outside one?

The question asked for the perimeter of the shaded area, so you need both arc lengths + 8 (from parts of the radius).

how was it

wondering what you got on the last one?

I got 80.4
How did people get 3 bars can anyone remember csuse i got 2. This is what i did

Density= mass/volume
Mass= density× volume

Mass=8*21600(15*12??)
Which gave me 17200

172800/1000=172.8
250/172.8=1.5 rounded to 2???
medium packet was the best value??? thats what i put

29.25.

yay

Never round up in the middle of calculations !!

yhh how didd you find the test?? It seemed harder than previous years, but haven't got anything wrong so far gutted i lost a few marks in non-ca;c

Because you had to find the perimeter of the shaded section
25. Becomes 80.1 if you don't round before the end (being accurate)

HIGHER PAPER : Angle question find x
with parallel lines forgot what number it was

Did anyone else get two minus numbers as the answers for the quadratic equation one? I can't remember exactly what I put but I swear a teacher once told me that one should be positive and the other negative.
How do you answer the mean height of the trees question? I can never do those.
Overall, I thought the paper was quite good, though edexcel seem to be obsessed with crisps- first Richard and his survey and now working out the best value pack.

No, you're not supposed to have double negatives for quadratics - one positive, one negative. As for the trees question, you had to find the midpoints of the frequency ranges and then multiply that by the values in the other column (I forget what it's called). Then add all the values and divide by the number of values.

(With Edexcel's crisp questions and AQA's copious amounts of alcohol-related questions in their biology paper, I feel like I know exactly what the exam writers have during breaks.)

Oh ok thx, uggghhh more marks dropped but how much would I get for doing perimeter of whole shape? Do u think?

What did your graph look like when you did the table of values?

a curve (sideways 's')
Original post by funky2722
no its 80.4 but theyll accept 80.1 i think. It depends whether or not you used precise values, by storing in calculator

i did not round any values up until 80.1

you get the volume which is 9120
9120 * 8 = 72960
72.96kg

250/72.96 is 3.42...
round off to 3

it depends tho cos the exams were quite easy so the boundaries will be higher

Ur quite right but paper 1 wasn't very easy tho

What was question 3 on?

For the question about the image and pixels, I got 500 for the new height. Anyone?

480 because I multiplied the 2 by 240 and got 480. Glad I got this one right because I failed the rest of the paper...
