Do you think that the grade boundaries will stay the same or go up?
Original post by samm98
Does anyone know if this ok? I drew the table for the trial and improvement in pencil and also drew the graph for Q13 in pencil too. It doesn't have to be in pen does it? I can't remember if i used pencil anywhere else but I hope it is.

Well our invigilator is moaning that you have to use pen for everything or examiner may not mark it (apart from drawing graphs w/e)

Honestly, I think you'll get the mark, unless our exams are scanned and the pencil is too light to show up (if you saw the solutions for paper 1 by mr kibria then you can see how when its scanned the grey doesn't show up (including the one in the diagrams - i.e. 'shaded region'))

For those discussing the answer to the final question. I believe the answer is 80.4 and here is the solution.

I got 81 how many marks do you think that will get me?
Original post by jtb135
Did you're teachers say this?
3.7^3 - 5(3.7) = 32.153
34 - 32.153 = 1.847
So 3.7 is 1.847 away.

3.8^3 - 5(3.8) = 35.872
35.872 - 34 = 1.872
So 3.8 is 1.872 away.

This shows 3.8 being 0.025 further away than 3.7. 3.7 is closer. This is why i put 3.7, but idk, people are getting rather rowdy at me for putting this idea forward xD

That's exactly what I got taught and why I put 3.7 because you compare how close they are to it

If you got EVERYTHING ELSE right (including the final calculation) and just messed up the last answer than 5.

If not then less.
Does anyone remember how many marks each question was worth and if so, can you update the mark scheme with the marks for each question
do you have the label the axis in a histogram as frequency density or do you not have to do that?

Thats exactly what i done and my teacher agreed, she done the paper with us after the exam its 3.7
The difference is soooo little but it was 3.7 trust me

Hi I'm going to start and unofficial markscheme so add your answers
Reps are not necessary but would be appreciated :smile:

It would be really useful if you could remember the question numbers
1. Order numbers correctly and include a key
b) 9/20=
0.45
2a. 5a*2b*3c =
30abc
b. Factorise fully 3y +6 =
3(y+2)
c. Expand x(x-3)=
x^2-3x
3.
x=9.25
4. Smallest packet was best value for money because it was cheapest per bag of crisps
5. 4 times as many red than green: There were 0.4 blue and 0.15 yellow.
0.4+0.15+4x+x=1
0.55+5x=1
5x=0.45
x=0.09
4x=0.36
Green- 0.09 Red- 0.36
6a. 20.3
b. 68.04kg
c. 2.61m
7. 3.8
8a. 4:3

16. 128g
b.11g
17. 30.1
18. 10a^5b^4
b. y= 5p^2-x
19.11 males
20. x= 0.29 or x= -2.29

25. 80.4

Does anyone have access to the paper, or know how much exactly each question was based markwise

lol definately they will go up. 170 is safe to think you have A* and 140 for A. It may not actually be that high, but will be like 135-140 for A and 165-168 for A* in my opinion.

Oh :\. Guess I'm just gonna have to pray it either shows up, or they aren't scanned then haha. Thanks anyway.

did you need to write frequency density on the axis of the histogram? Because old mark schemes havent mentioned it

I wrote frequency density I think you had to just to show what you understood the y axis
