Well said my man. Someone once said to me:

"It's better to try an fail, then not to try at all"

Personally that's stuck with me. And you never know - things might fall your way in the exam, and depending on the rules for the exam board if you are close to the minimum boundary for passing then they may look at your coursework and extenuating circumstances and give you a compensated pass.
