No at all
I wonder if liberalism will be the 45 marker?
I have been told anarchism is likely to come up
Have you got any essay plans for anarchism?

A 45 marker on Conservatism would be a godsend, tbh. :colondollar:

For a 45 marker on conservatism....how would you structure it?
My teacher is absolutely useless lol so I've had to do a lot of self teaching

What do you struggle with?

Just the structure of the question
Are the main strands to talk about
One nation
Neo liberalism
And neo conservatism
sometimes you might only need to focus on one main strand - The New Right (neo-liberalism and neo-conservatism), whereas in other cases you would just talk about each strand in order;
1.pre 19th c
2. traditional/toryism
3.one-nation
3.The New Right
in essays questions, for 'to what extent' questions you should match the strands of the ideology that would agree to a large extent and those that would disagree only to a minor extent. For 'dicuss' questions you need to show some strands of the ideology do agree with the statement whereas others disagree. Also remember to be synoptic - i usually sometimes compare conservatism with fascism and contrast with anarchism and liberalism

It's fairly simple in terms of its core beliefs and the traditions are easily distinguished between for the most part.
So any predictions for Unit 3?

yeah, I feel ya. I just spent the whole of today wracking my brains around global economic governance (my least favourite topic), and personally I feel like I've covered a lot, but overall, made little progress :'

You're doing 3D and 4D right? I'm not ready for it atm I'm not sure how to revise for it. The 15 markers can be on anything and the 45 markers I find quite difficult to plan. Do you have any guesses as to the topics that might come up for any of the questions? I think UN may come up.

Thanks for that
What I will ask....
You know 'neo liberalism' and 'neo conservasitm' do you talk about them as separate strands or do you merge them together as the 'new right'
Hi guys does anyone have ANY essay plans. Please I really need them as I don't have time to revise properly along with my other exams

Thanks. Any help would be great

For 3D 45 markers, I'm prepping myself thoroughly for World Order and EU& regionalism

I predict something either on US hegemony or with factors of power (military/economic/population/geographical location etc) or it could be on multipolarity and anarchy- be prepared for any.

for topic 4, I predict something like...
to what extent is the EU federal?
or
EU exceptionalism (its unique model being able to be implemented in other regional bodies)

I'm more nervous about the 15 markers. I tend to do well in 45 markers, but can never think of 3 fully developed points, always 2 well developed and 1 weak point.
So, for 15 markers, I think for topic 3, they might ask something on the UN, seeing as last year they asked about the IMF and they have already asked about the other economic institutions

My teacher has predicted the 45 markers:
3d: world order
4d: poverty

the 15 markers will then be on:
3d: approaches/ global governance
4d: human rights/terrorism.

im nervous about the whole thing. ive found politics really hard this year.
