EDEXCEL GCSE MUSIC REVISION THREAD

Hey guys! I am wondering how you are all getting on at the moment!
Here is some useful stuff I have collected so far:

Last year's thread has loads of practise and past papers and danconway's revision guide is really useful:
http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2614680

For section B:
To my knowledge Capercaillie hasn't come up as an essay question at all in past papers or practise papers, so it's a highly likely candidate for this year's essay.

Answer some questions!

1. Favourite set work?
2. Least favourite set work?
3. Most confident set work?
4. Least confident set work?
5. How is your coursework doing?
6. When are you starting revision?
7. Are you enjoying the course? (spoiler: I regret taking it so bad)
8. How did you do in your mock?

Good luck guys! If anyone has a good idea of which essay will come up that would be super helpful!

1. Favourite set work? Capercaillie
2. Least favourite set work? Miles Davis/Schoenberg
3. Most confident set work? Handel
4. Least confident set work? Schoenberg
5. How is your coursework doing? Alright...I'm at a low A for composition
6. When are you starting revision? Easter holidays
7. Are you enjoying the course? (spoiler: I regret taking it so bad) Yes there's so much to learn
8. How did you do in your mock? I have it next week ;3

As for the essay that will come up there's only two which the exam board haven't done yet and that's Capercaillie, Handel, Schoenberg (it's two of those three - one of them came up last year but I can't remember which). And seeing as there's a new syllabus next year it would be cruel not to do the last two...but who knows they like to trick us, depends whether they're feeling nice this year or not.

1. Favourite set work? Handel
2. Least favourite set work? Ragdesh (the sound of satan)
3. Most confident set work? Handel
4. Least confident set work? Ragdesh
5. How is your coursework doing? Mid-level A* for the first one, yet to finish the second though
6. When are you starting revision? Now
7. Are you enjoying the course? I enjoy the course but regret not doing PE
8. How did you do in your mock? Low A

My moneys on Capercaillie but I wouldn't put it past Edexcel to throw a Schoenberg or Koko Yiri piece in there to challenge everyone.

All the other setworks bar Koko Yiri have certain aspects in-common or you can kind of link them together. With Ragdesh it's just one big smack in the face and a "b**** you were not ready for me".
