Medicine as a Graduate at Glasgow Uni 2016

Are there any graduate students heading to Glasgow in September to study medicine here? I want to be involved with societies, freshers etc but can't handle halls again! And any grad students in later years, how do you find the course?

Hey! No, I'm from the Highlands. You're lucky, for a minute I really thought I might have to! Thankfully a friend is moving to Glasgow so I will hopefully stay with her. It was in neuroscience, who knows why! Yours? Are you excited to begin again?

Hi Lpo,

congrats on getting in to med school.. out of curiosity what have you been doing since your degree in '08? I ask because I finished last year, and want to do medicine. I've been accepted for a phd and Im gonna do medicine after that.

cheers

I have been working as a biomedical
scientist in the NHS since 2008. My husband has also returned to uni in that time so hence why the large gap between then and now.

Hi Lpo,
Wow, must be scary coming back after a while off! Seems like a good position to be in though as I won't be receiving a pay check till I'm nearly 30 (hopefully). For sure, it's nice to know people.

It's exciting! The thought of going back doesn't phase me as it's all I have ever wanted to do.It has taken me 15 years to get to this position but it will be all worth it.I think the worst part for me is not having a proper wage after so many years of getting paid a nice wage.I'm looking forward to socialising aspect too as many of my friends have kids now so don't get out much where as I am still a party girl at heart even though I am "older"!
I am the defo the girl you need to know for pathology when at met school.!My histology knowledge is up there as that's the discipline I work in.They aren't just red and blue dots to me!When did you graduate from uni?
