No you do not have to. 2018 summer is the last time of the spec we are doing so you have time

No new spec starts in sep 2016 but old spec will run until summer 2018 to make everyone who sat the old spec has done the exam

so i am in year 10, can i sit the exam (old spec) early in november 2015 or june 2016 edexcel

yes i understand as there is no exam in november 2016,
the next exam is on june 2017
