I found it a very hard paper but I still think I've done well in it! :smile:

Answer to last question was something like H3COCH2CH2C(CH3)2OH
Or that's what I got at least and I was pretty confident with it.
Was unsure about the reaction with the diol - my answer was a cyclic compound?
Also unsure about the question regarding the hydrogen chloride thing with the large molecule which sounded like cocaine?😂

I wrote that for the last question but it's a tertiary alcohol and it can't be oxidized with potassium dichromate :'( :'(
My answer was a cyclic compound with the diol too! yay
The chloride thing I wrote it's more soluble? idk

WHAT THE **** WAS THAT AQA?!?!?! Worst. Exam. Ever. As if we don't have to learn about enough compounds, they give us a huge set of questions about one that we don't have to know. Grade boundary predictions anyone??? Was getting around 80% on the past papers, seriously think I got 15% at a push :cry:

Welp that's my Chemistry grade gone

I'm only semi certain on the math questions and as for the mechanisms, proteins and Polymer stuff? I'd be lucky to scrape even a few marks on those sections.

More marks lost on the Lipocain crap, PGM and electrophile.

Even the order of reaction question, one of the only fairly normal questions on the whole paper, used the most confusing numbers and ratios possible :angry:
