What you think is your choice, I'm not here to argue that I am correct etc

I've learnt the hard way from this, and thus I remembered in the exam. My point is, this test was fairly straightforward but there were many chances to make mistakes, this being one of them.

Well done. I put 'fibre', in brackets 'is that nylon?' underneath line 'I think it is...'

Thanks. I thought you only had STEP this year.

Even though a lot of people on here say that it went really well, people who found it really hard aren't going to broadcast it. Definitely do not think an A will be above 50/60 as there are always those who struggle and bring averages etc down.

46 or 47 for an A sounds more reasonable in my opinion

I got this for F

And G for the second picture (I can't use tsr)

Guys there was a question about structure of C6H15NO2, what did you put ??

aaaah i wasn't sure at all but it put

i dont remember exactly where the oxygen on the rhs was tho but all my numbers matched so idk if its right or coincidence

We must've muddled the theoretical and actual value.
100 ums - 55/60
a* - 50/60
a - 46/60
b - 42/60

I think this paper is harder than last years there are a lot of word questions like the first one and the PLA one I don't know what is going on. would rather preferred complex reactions and mechanisms, or nmrs then this

really? the NMR question from last year would have finished me !
so pissed off because I only realised it was 4 carbon environments when she blew the whistle so I only got the marks for H on that one...
Didn't get the diester or the NH2 impurity one or J
What do you guys think the grade boundaries will be and did u find it harder than last year's paper? If the grade boundary is like 51 for an A i'm ****ed

I got 2.66
In the last question, did they asked about skeletal formulae for G, F.. ?

I must have confused the theoretical moles with the actual moles :-/
If I got f wrong, will I get ecf?
Original post by bulkybros100
i got 7.14 too!

For me =]
STEP 1: work out moles of starting substance
STEP2: multiply this value by 0.61
STEP 3: multiply that value by mr of A
