this is what i wrote:
divided: human nature- individualist vs negative, society- atomistic vs values/authority (forgot about organic society, how bad is that?), attitude to reform - radical vs pragmatic, supranationalism vs nationalism
united: politically- neoconservatism helps maintain free market and property emphasised by neoliberalism

- Definition of hierarchy
- Organic society - lead to belief in natural inequality
- There must be leaders and followers - natural aristocracy, talents and skills are innate
- Those at the top of society have a duty and responsibility to look after those at the bottom of society - like a father would with his son - paternalism + feudal principle of noblesse oblige
- Provide guidance and support
- Juxtaposed to socialism by saying that conservatives think that social equality is undesirable and unachievable

Ah ****, the 15 markers weren't that bad.
For the liberalism question, I think I talked too much about democracy. ****. Any ideas if this will **** me up too much? I didn't even talk about a state only protecting people from each other. FFS

Yeah, oh well... basically I structured it as

for:
1. US unipolar world order and the use of hard power
2. How hard power capabilities are still very much used to determine new superpower status e.g. China as a merging super power

against:
1. rise in soft power and decline of hard power
2. rise of structural power

that's just the basic points... but it all ties in.
Unit 3D was decent Tbf ngl. Really liked the 15 markers in particular :smile:

Ahh, that exam actually went alright. I did unit 3D: Global Politics

Decent questions, was a bit spoilt for choice in the 45 markers because I revised those 3 topics really well. Avoided any 15 marker from topic 1 approaches to global politics.

Did anyone answer the Hard power still being the dominant form of power 45 markers?
Managed to finish in the nick of time, but the invigilator made us finish 1minute earlier than we were supposed to finish- I could have written one or two more sentences for my conclusion, which is now left as a pretty standard conclusion.

Basically wrote the same- but missed the paternalism stuff STRSSED, I wrote about noblesse oblige tho and the price of privilege and talked about Burke saying society allocates all in their appointed place, natural aristocracy and divine right of kings:frown:((

Ah a lot of people did the liberalism one
I did unit 3D did UN for the 45 marker, and powers, globalisation and sovereignty. I thought this was a decent paper but I didn't have time to finish off my 15 marker on powers so I just went on to the 45 marker. I hope I get decent grade.

Only 2 for and against, but I tend to really develop my paragraphs in a lot of detail and ofc backed it up with realist and liberal perspectives.

What did you write? I got stuck on one of the 15 markers and only wrote 2 developed points, but hopefully I did well enough in the other two (I did the regional organisation, criticisms of G8 and superpower/great power question)
