Unofficial MS yet?
I got:
Q=0.15
P=0.175
33people for dinner
T=0.03
U=0.22
The first r=0.994
The runner does it in 206mins
And 0.36 for last one
I recon 60 for an A
For the Rebecca and Sarah q I got that Sarah wins when X= 3/2 and 2 so 2/5 and Rebecca's wins when X= -2 -1 and 1/2 so her probability is 3/5. Is this correct?

expected =probability x number

you times the probabilities you got in the previous ones by the numbers they gave you and add them.

its the same thing as E(x)

I thought I did this but I seem to recall getting 40 something? idk

did anyone get 0 for one of the probability questions?

yeah I got like 47

i think most people are saying its 33 :/

6b) wasnt it 274 to 3sf?

P(T>x)=0.2

(x-240)/40=0.8416

x=273.664

Because you needed to get the lower 20% and less you would have -0.8416 rather than 0.8416.That would then give 206.---

i remember the median to be 3.47

Wasnt too sure wether you were ment to use 3 - > 3.5 or 3 - > 3.45 . I ended up using 3 - > 3.45, which may be wrong. Not too sure was not very confident with that question
I got 35 for the number of diners I times it by 0.45
I'm confused by that dinner question
So it told you 100% of people stayed in a room with or without breakfast. It was predicted that 97% would though. So then for eating dinner there, the expected probability was 0.45 (or something like that) so using the same proportion as worked out earlier, surely 46 people order dinner???
for the sarah and rebecca question if you worked out which one each of them would win but didn't add up the probabilitys and just put 2/5 is that 0 marks

The answer for the dinner q was 33!

good thats what i got

my plan was to go over June15 this morning especially for that style of question but I thought it was in the afternoon so i woke up at 9am which was yikes so that didn't happen
luckily i figured it out unlike in the mock

I did, not saying I was right, but I did.
When is Mr Arsey releasing his mark scheme???
For the diner question, do people add .405 and .450 and multiply by 77 or you find P( D intersect B interect R) add P( D intersect R intersect B') , i tried the second method and got 30 something but when i check up the diagram, the area of t is not counted, so i crossed it out and do the first method and got 68, im just so confused

oh right nice
They werent supposed to add up to 1 as there was also the probability of a draw

If we got P and Q wrong, is the rest of the question wrong (Error carried forward) or will they give us method marks? This is for the Rebecca and Sara Q
Someone should make a unofficial markscheme thread. And also when people put answers in it, can they please explain their answers.
