Aside from the 45 marker on nationalism, that paper was one of the worst ive sat.. What were those 15 markers? The feminism and nationalism one just threw me off

Horrible 15 markers - truly revolting
For the feminism one I only did conservative critisms

I said that it undermines the traditional nuclear family, conservatives see gender as set from birth and and it causes radical change which damages organic society?

Yeah i did commodification of nature and relentless growth

Said that it was anthropocentric too and then talked about Realos vs Fundis greens.
Talked about how deep greens want zero growth and criticise shallow greens who want sustainable growth, which I said was a thinly concealed form of anthropocentricism.
Talked about Boulding's spaceship earth. How we should treat resources as natural capital rather than income.
Talked about how zero growth would lead to post-materialism + self-actualisation + the environmental consciousness

(Lool my essay structure was way better than that btw^)

Ahh the deep ecologist part threw me off! I forgot about capitalism and stuff and instead talked about how it doesn't transcend morality as sustainability is viewed as a goal for human generations and went on to talk about biocentrism. I think the holiday point was okay though. How many marks do you think I could get? I think 11 tops to be optimistic but could easily be like 7-8
How many marks do you think we will need to get an A?

I think the general consensus seems to be that there were generous 45 markers. I wonder if the grade boundaries will be fairly high this year... :holmes:

Yeah bit generally the first half of the paper was pretty savage...so that will at least balance out the boundaries a bit

That's true, I think I probably dropped 15 marks in the first half :erm:

75 for A*

75

No way...I'm mean you'd be well in A* with that. Going by past boundaries you need 65-70 for an A, sometimes even less.

And believe me, I have studied the boundaries haha, these exams have been freaking me out for ages.

I didn't really talk about capitalism either, all I said in terms of capitalism was that deep ecologists would criticise sustainability as it maintains the ideas of materialism and consumerism. But what you said seems fine. Also I honestly wouldn't be able to tell you what mark you will get, I don't even have a clue for myself. Hopefully you have done well though!

Apparently the US paper was really hard, so hopefully that will lower the boundaries

Doesn't make any difference though dude, boundaries are all separate from separate papers.

**** I hate exams. That was such an annoying one. The 45 marker was a dream, but that feminism 15 marker totally screwed me.

for the 15 marker on feminism, i spoke about how conservatives see the aims of some feminists to have gender divisions as 'artificial' as it disrupts the organic society. i also spoke about how this goes against the idea of the 'natural aristocracy' and explained that in C19, females were regarded as the property of men. my final point was on why socialists criticise it and mention that feminism only aims to solve economic inequality for half of the population(females only).

did anyone here write something similar and are these even valid points???
I'm actually scared
Don't feel I did well in the 45 markers at all
Anyone do the US exam today?
