The changing magnetic field (caused by the alternating current) is IN the iron core

It induces a current on the secondary coil
I wish I did Triple science :frown:

Stupid school.

Alternating current in primary coil induces alternating magnetic field in the iron core.

The iron core then induces an alternating p.d across the secondary coil, which if it is part of a circuit, will induce a alternating current
