Think it was a moderately hard paper. By no means "very" hard, but harder than usual. The questions themselves would be fine if Edexcel didn't have a fetish for unknown constants.
thanks for making a poll, found this to be harder than usual nevertheless hoping for high 90.
hard but I only need 25 ums for 80% average if I get 90 in c3c4

They love unknown constants

I've voted for "hard".

The questions obviously included Mechanics but felt more sophisticated than the past papers I'd done. That being said, apart from the non-uniform rod question, everything felt doable.

Questions like (a) find P AND R were unusual too. Not to mention the Vietnam flashbacks when I saw pt^2+qt+r.

It was a Mechanics paper, but it didn't feel like an Edexcel M2 paper. Hoping its around 56-58 for an A.
Made one very stupid mistake:colondollar: the questions were unusual to say the least, especially at first glance

Here's the poll from last year:

It looks like people thought it was slightly easier last year. The boundaries were 64 for an A, and 69 for an A*.

This year the boundaries will definitely be lower. I'm considering saying it was harder than June 2012. 65 for an A* is possible.

Maybe about 58 for an A? I really don't know

Hopefully. I spent the first 45 mins skipping through questions like a complete moron and did everything in the second half of the time....Made such stupid mistakes tbh and the impulse question oh dear... My M2 was your M3 pole question. I literally just froze knowing I had to catch up cause of my tragic performance in fp2 🙄😂
Can anyone give me feedback on my marks so far?
So last year I got 236 UMS, but I retook M1 because I got A,A,C. I'm happy with how M1 went, so I'm going to assume that I got the average of my UMS for C1 and C2 so 83 UMS. This would make my total AS UMS 252.
This exam went awfully, I mean, I tried my best and I felt like I knew what to do for all the questions but it seems that I got most of the answers wrong. So worst case scenario, how likely is it that I'll be able to get an A, and what UMS am I looking at for C2 and C3?

I still hate that peg. Method marks will save us.

How many marks for full UMS?

On the last question I made an arithmetic error that meant I got the wrong speed for B and therefore subsequently used the wrong values in part b and c how many marks would I likely loose

66 or 67 for 90 UMS.
And it depends on what you did.
