i want to know this too

don't you hate when they can't ask proper questions
I put square root 109, would I only lose 1 mark or more?
Original post by linaxq
73.3 or 73.6 please do the calc again it was ->>>>>3ms and 10 down so arctan 10/3

Yeah I know it was arctan 10/3 - which is 73.3, I just wrote it wrong when I posted

Should be -1, nothing to lose sleep over.

Yeah I got exactly 15 too! Wonder what I did wrong..

You have to minus the displacement when t=2 as the question asked distance travelled between 2-3 (in the third second).

How many marks do you think I'd get for putting in the wrong limits? 3 and 4 (it was 5 marks)

I would think that you would probably lose one or two A1 marks for it, assuming your method was correct (I would think it might be M1A1 for getting the correct integral, M1 for subbing in values and solving).

Like i said dude some ms allow student to leave answer as root form. You may be right so:smile:

It was out of 6 I think so I'd say 2 or 3 marks lost.

suvat

horizontal: s=lambda
vertixcal: s=-lamda

Fill in the other knowns, find t in terms of lambda using the horizontal (t=1/3 lambda) and then solve substituting this into s=ut+1/2 at^2 with the vertical values

Hmmm I did this, must have made a slip somewhere. Thank you

For question 7 I made an arithmetic error and subsequently got the wrong value for the speed of B meaning I used the wrong value in part b and c, how many marks would i likely loose for this.
You're welcome to contribute, as I can't remember all of it.

Did anyone else get 1.22 as their distance for the centre of mass?

I can't remember exactly what I put but yeah that rings a bell!

Very true, could be either depending on how anal they are. Probably would be fine though actually

Please be honest so we get a clear indication of grade boundaries.

Thats the correct answer though?

The question was 6 mars so I 'd say you got 3 and lost 3.
