My favourite composer HAS to be Ludovico Einaudi.

Fav piece? Nightbook II

Close seconds would be Yiruma, with River flows in you and Mozart with his piano concerto 22.

What are yours?

Oooh I like it, it has a very 1920's noir, detective feel to it, doesn't it?

Yann Tiersen has some pretty good pieces like Comptine d'un autre été which you would have definitely heard.

Hmm, I came to discover new composers haha!

I've heard that one before. I can play it too :awesome: though definitely not as well as Yann Tiersen himself. :hide:

You also reminded me of another piece which I like - you should definitely listen to Michael Nyman's compositions.

Call me mainstream, but Holst's Jupiter is my favourite piece of orchestral music - the "I Vow to Thee" section gives me goosebumps every time. (I Vow... should be our national anthem imo)
Can't believe I forgot Chopin. :eek4:

I know this is controversial considering the man himself, but I have to say Richard Wagner. His music goes beyond anything I have ever heard. It is monumental, devastatingly beautiful and rich in both depth and technique. I don't like the man, but I love his music.

Antorin Dvorak is magnificent

I really like a lot of composers: Dvorak, Beethoven, Debussy, Mozart - the well known guys. If I had to pick one composer, though, I would choose Karl Jenkins. He's not necessarily my favourite composer, but his works are pretty cool! I think a lot of people would recognise Palladio:

Yes! Dvorak is amazing! We're doing one of his symphonies (no 8) in orchestra and although its hard enough to play, its absolutely magnificent when you stand at the back of the hall and just listen!
