I said 4g because if he recorded the time for half the oscillation then recorded value of the time period will be less

and g= (4pi^2l)/T^2

if T decreases by scale factor 2 and g would increase by scale factor of 4

That's what I did. Area of trapezium. Did you find the lengths correctly by subtracting the lower value?

62 is my guess for cap - there were some easier and some harder parts, so I would imagine it will be 4 marks higher than last year but 5 or so lower than June 13.

Plus I would imagine the facility of the multiple choice is a lot lower than usual (maybe 60% rather than 67%).


It'll be higher. Very standard paper which was probably easier than June 14 which had 67 as a cap. I would assume 67

will i get penalised for putting the graph for the 6 marker as
L/(t/2pi)^2 for g as opposed to putting it as L4pi^2/T^2
