Anyone get something around 80,000 for the resistance in the first question?
Momentum question was tricky.
My MC answers: DBADDCBBBCBCCACADACAADCBD

Hopefully if a few contribute then we can get a rough marks scheme going.

But it said decrease by 80%.

Omg the amount of times I circled by in the question looool
V=-mv/N

???

Right, ok, I must have misread it. If I showed all my working, would I get 1/3?

Yes!

Yeah, I put mv/N then realised it was velocity, so V would have to be -vsomething.

The time constant was 27.something, since V = 0.2V0.

I worked out the energy of the capacitor by the area under the graph - is this valid?

I got 2.28 by subtracting 1/2QV from 1/2QV and 2.25 by doing area so idk (idk the number but jt was slightly different, idk why they give different value)

What did you get for time constant, C0balt?

28.100%sure

For my multiple choice:

DBBDDCDBDCBCCACBBDCAADCBD don't writ quote me on that, i only quickly typed them in at the end

the first few and last few seem to agree with what i remember

No it was not that. You had to use ln0.2 not ln0.8

I'm pretty sure it was ln(1/0.2) so ln5? -ln0.2 also works

(0.2)(V)=(V)e^(-t/RC) and work from there
(edited 7 years ago)
what was the answer to the momentum of the alpha particle:
I remember getting the KE as 1.00 x10^something then the speed was like 7.something x 10^ something then cant remember whether I stupidly divided or correctly multiplied by the mass to find momentum.

Also what did your graphs look like for the one about field strength?
Original post by Cadherin
Yes!

Was the question to find an expression got V?

Ah well, damn, I misread it and got 200 (2sf).

Can I get 1/3 for that?
In the grade boundaries for last years paper it says
PHYA4 PHYSICS A UNIT 4 75 54 49 45 41 37 33
PHYA4/1 PHYSICS A UNIT 4 - OTQ 25 19(A) 12
PHYA4/2 PHYSICS A UNIT 4 - WRITTEN 50 30(A) 21
Does that mean that you have to get both 19/25 in section A and 30/50 in section B to get an A?

when the paper is easier than other years and u still manage to **** up lol  didnt wanna go to uni anyway
Field strength graph???

No, just 49/75 overall. I'm not really sure why they publish a separate boundary for the multiple choice and written.

I doubt it lol
