Did we have to simplify 1/2ln(25/4) ?

yh to ln(5/2)
Just kill me. No uni for me. Then again, if i can't even do well in something as easy as C3 it's not like i deserve it. I should probably start googling local colleges and part time work

I must've been one of the only people in the country who ****ed up the first question
(edited 7 years ago)
On question 6 if I did the long division wrong, and then went on to differentiate this incorrect answer and find the gradient etc for the second part, will I only lose marks on the first part??

if i left it as 1/2ln(25/4) it'll only be 1 mark lost right ?
Number of marks for each question:
1) a: 4, b: 1
2) a: 4, b: 3
3) a: 3, b: 5, c: 2
4) a: 5, b: 2, c: 2, d: 2
5) a: 5, b: 5
6) a: 4, b: 5
7) a: 2, b: 3
8) a: 4, b: 6
9) a: 2, b: 2, c: 4
Can anybody recall what the question 5.i was?
can anyone remember what question 2 asked again in the first part?
Anyone know where you could find a pdf version of the test online?

Yeah it said do you think I'd lose one mark or two?

I don't believe you'll lose a mark, did the question say simplify? I thought it just said exact value?

i made the same mistake :'(
Question 6 part b i got part a right but dont remember that being my answer for b.....what did you get after differentiating?

Wasnt it dy/dx= 2x -4/(something)

Cant remember what i got for gradient....was x 2 or 3 in this?

Well if it didn't say simplest form, you should be fine

Yeah probably 1 mark, it said leave in its simplest form
guys if you don't cross out your answers then they have to mark whatever's there right? So if you showed an incorrect method and then a correct one but you didn't cross out the incorrect one then you'll still get the marks?
