Could someone help me work something out (as your all mathematicians!)
Last year I got
C1- 90 UMS
C2- 89 UMS
S1-100 UMS

Today went really bad and I have counted and gotten about 68%
What UMS do I need in C4 and S2 to get an A overall? (Need 3As for uni)

68% would probably be a B, therfore you need to average 66ums in c4 and s2.

You need 201/300 in A2 to get an A, so don't worry about today you can still get it, you could get it with only 1 UMS today and full in S2 and C4 if you wanted!
Does anyone know how many marks i would lose for showing the work but not writing the values of A and B in 9c ?

anyone think this is fair:

71/72 -- 100UMS
63/64 -- 90UMS
57/58 -- 80UMS

considering last year's paper with similar length and difficulty, where 65=90UMS, 59=80UMS...

i wish lol...think you've been a bit leniant if im honest but hope you're right

I think probably higher for the 100 UMS, around 73/74, it really wasn't THAT hard there will be plenty of people with 75/75

Much too optimistic, especially for full UMS.

You need 90UMS in core 3...

No, you only need an average of 90 ums between C3 and C4 to get an A* in math.
Lads worst case I've got 58, what ums is that

btw was it -root5 < x < root5 or was it -root5 > x > root5 ? I cant remember which q it was

Unless I'm going mad from exams I don't think -root5 > x > root5 makes sense.... Less than -root5, but more than root5?

I got -root5 < x < root5 as well.

Are you doing C4? If so, you sitll have a chance.
64/75 will be likely to get you 85 UMS +
So all you need in C4 is 95+ and you're good to go

no im not doing core 4 because i did my maths a level a year early, so i only opted to resit core 3 because all my other modules were fine. in hindsight it mightve been better to also resit core 4 to try and get above 90 ums. oh well..

None. You will not get penalised for not explicitly stating A & B.

26.57 I believe.

Aw shucks, I put 26.6 because I did it in radians first and forgot the 2dp instruction when I went back to change it to degrees >_<. Hopefully they only penalise once for that because I used 26.6 throughout the question (of course doing any calculations using an exact calculator variable).

Most likely a scraped A, so 80 UMS. I don't know though, it's a prediction made from past boundaries.

Your name loooool. Anyway, should be mid/high B.

You will lose a mark for ever A1 it affects.

Use the Benegg grade calculator. Its easy to use and. But just looking at your grades you are fine you can afford some mid to high Bs in C4 and S2 and you would still get an A.

Ah it's very possible I made the same mistake, how many marks do you think we will lose?

i cant see it being over 2 maybe 1 if we are lucky

alright then how does this sound then...same as last years...

65 -- 90ums
59 -- 80ums
