Are there any programmes I need to apply for that will help me get into medical schoo

Are there any programmes I need to apply for that will help me get into medicine. On a visit to Leeds I found out about the wider access to medicine scheme that they run. Do any other universities run anything similar?

Thanks

Newcastle have got a PARTNERS scheme similar to Access2Leeds and also Sheffield has got one called Sheffield Outreach for Medicine Scheme(SOAMS) which I am currently on although you have to apply in YR12 for SOAMS.
Thank you, Is that all you know off

Manchester has the access programme.
Do you know what it's called?

Does it?... Last time I checked you had to live in greater Manchester to be eligible.

It's called MAP

There's one for Preston and one for Manchester. The criteria does state that you have to be a resident of Greater Manchester or attend a college in the area.
If you are talking about widening participation schemes (for those at lower performaing schools) then check on the course page for each Uni or email each Uni and ask. Many have 'Access' schemes including summer sessions, mentoring etc and/or lower grade offers. Even if they dont do a specifically 'Medicine' scheme, look for Biology/Biociences.

Examples :
A2B Bristol : http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/teachers/post-16/access/
Leeds Access : http://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/128005/applying/33/alternative_admissions/2
Access to Birmingham : http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/undergraduate/preparing-for-university/teachers-advisors/reaching-regional/a2b.aspx
A2S Southampton : http://www.southampton.ac.uk/schools-colleges/access-to-southampton.page

If your grade expectations are low (and you go to a low performing school) then there are some 6 year 'Gateway' courses that might be appropriate :
Southampton (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/medicine/undergraduate/courses/bm6_a102.page)
and Bristol (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/2017/medicine/mb-chb-gateway-to-medicine/ as just two examples.
