Statistics weighted index numbers???

Hi!
So i'm trying to do weighted index numbers but in the 2005 edexcel statistics paper it doesn't give you the proportion of the numbers? You have just got the index numbers, and the money values. Please help me I don't know how to divide up the proportions??
Thank you!
Hi!
I haven't seen the question so I might be totally making this up but can't you get the proportions by using the money values?
For example if the money values were
1
4
2.5
9
23
6.5

Then you would double it so the proportions were whole
2:
8:
5:
18:
46:
13
I might be totally off with this, sorry! I've had my brain fried by doing mocks all day every day this week lol
Thank you!!
