Gcse

What do you do if your unhappy with one of your gcse grades and you want to retake it ? Is there a possibility that you can go to 6th form and still retake them such as chemistry and biology ?:s-smilie:

If it's just one or two GCSEs, depending on the policy of the sixth form/college then I imagine that would be perfectly possible to arrange. Many more than that and you're possibly better off resitting year 11, however. To get anything more detailed, you're best emailing the school or college where you'll attend sixth form to ask about your specific case. Good luck.

If you will attend a sixth form that is part of a regular school with year 11 GCSE candidates it may be possible. If you are attending a college that has a broad intake of abilities then there a chance it will be possible as they may offer a selection of GCSE options for students who do poorly first time around (although they might not and may offer level 2 BTEC instead). If you are going to a,sixth form that principally offers A levels and level 3 BTEC, chances are they won't offer GCSE resits except possibly for maths and English. You would be able to keep your ISA results and retake the exams somewhere as a private candidate. You really need to consider how significant one grade in one subject is to you future plans.
