I just said that racemic mixture could be formed with other optical isomer which could have harmful effects. To solve this find a process which is stereospecific.

I mentioned the stereospecific part
What do we reckon on grade boundaries

There were 3 steps in the sythesis of benzamide right? Oxidation by K2Cr2O7, then PCl5, then Ammonia to form the amide?

Yes that's what I did

Do you think that was the only way to do it? I'm not sure about what I did now

It was Zn(OH)2 wasn't it? That's amphoteric

Yep that's right

Ah ok. But it wasn't a disproportionation for the previous question, was it?

for the equation did it say ionic equation ?

i put cucl2 +hcl + cu = 2 (cucl2)- + 2H plus
Here's my reckoning with GBs

a* 76
a 72
b 68

then keep going down in 4's

yeah , just like when yoi have the fe 2 / fe 3 half cel you have both ions i think

was platinum electrode correct?

I put that yes - although you would need 2HCl to balance. I'm talking about the question after this where it was like define disproportionation and hence say whether this is or isn't. It isn't is it?

I put that, can't remember if it said ionic or not but I literally had no idea on that question

same

It is because copper metal is (0) and CuCl2 Copper is (2) and in (CuCl2)- Copper is (1) so it's simultaneously oxidised from 0 to 1 and reduced from 2 to 1
I messed up on the synthesis question :frown:

The ionic one was the hydroxide precipitate one.

oh crap :/
Ligand exchange for the 1 marker
