For the p6 6 marker I only wrote 0.4 s not 0.45s would I still get the marks ?

Yes because 0.447... to 1.d.p is 0.4m/s.
Wasn't it a not, an and and a nor gate ????

That's exactly what I got too.

Yes it was.

That's relative but they asked for resultant

It doesn't really matter now anyways. Will have to wait for the examiner's report to be released around 1st of August.

I'm so confused... I'll put both answers on the mark scheme

 okay.

Can you tell me how the above is a NOR gate rather than a NAND please? I still do not understand.
Did anyone get C and D for the homework question??

D was a bit more trickier to obtain but C was obvious.

Because it was curved inwards

Well it's an OR gate (curved bit) with the dot at the end which means add a NOT to it afterwards, hence making a NOR.

A NAND would look like this but the curved bit would be flat.

How did you get D?

NOR.png

Yes but the shape at the 'out' is different to that of an OR gate as can be seen above...

yep i got the voltage was 2.5 V for C and 200 V for D

The addition if the little circle makes it a NOT and an OR together so it is NOR

I did 30/600 * 1000 = 50 volts at primary coil rather than the 10 they had put down.

Okay thank you. Was it only 2 marks?

Yes as the multiplier was 20x

I got something different. I used the formula Np/Ns * Vs to get Vp and I compared it to the primary voltages listed in the table. Thus I got the voltage was 20,000 for the primary and for D 50 for the primary. I am not sure this is correct though.
Does anybody have predictions for the grade boundaries?

Yes, although others seem to have obtained answers different from mine. Perhaps I am incorrect.
