I'm so dumb I wrote question 1 and question 3 and 3b but I didn't clarify 1a and 1b. Will the examiners not mark my work?

1a and 1b? Everyone has to answer the first section and the first section doesnt say 1a 1b it's just 1 & 2 so of course it'll be marked :smile: you just had to clarify 3a and 3b but im sure you're still fine if you didnt because they'll know which answer it is after reading it
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that made up stats for the 20 marker. Was completely expecting ethnic inequality to come up. Totally mixed up the names and forgot everything for the 40 marker bu I hope I did ok on research
I totally messed up the 15, 25 and 40 marker :K::K:

Sorry I meant I wrote question 1 and just carried on to the second question but I didn't write the question 2. Question 3 I think I just write it once and didn't write 3a or 3b. Coincidently every new question I did was on a new page and when I begin my sentences I rephrased the questions from the exam. I'm still scared that they won't mark if :frown:
how did you guys structure 4b on gender.
i think i did mine wrong i did radical feminists then Marxists feminists then black then functionalism. apparently the question focused on functionalism... is that true...

I did this order (from memory) Functionalism, Liberal Feminism, Marxist Feminism, Crime and Deviance (patriarchy - can exploit the role = not functional) um I can't remember the rest tbh, but I don't think it matters on the order too much, like its a wide question so it doesn't specifically ask for functionalism to be included or functionalism first

first I talked about how there are separate gender roles in my intro
then I talked about functionalists (Parsons) and why they think it's a good thing e.g. in the family, workplace. then i linked it with Zaretsky's idea of housewives and why they don't think it's a good idea (because it stops a rebellion from happening). and then I countered all that with some eval points, like how their research is outdated and doesn't explain why there is a rise of women in the workplace. i also criticised how functionalists think that gender differences are natural and fixed, using Oakley's studies about socialisation etc. that leads onto liberal feminists, then i linked that to radical feminists, and gave some evidence e.g. how gender differences are depleting but today's society is still functioning well

i don't think you should worry, at least you mentioned functionalism in there

Yeah the question was like outline and assess that gender differences are functional for society??
It wasn't a nice question haha,
And you included functionalism in so it doesn't matter either way, the 40 marker is meant to be very open, which means you can interpret it however you want as long it fits the question!

Also do you by any chance know how much UMS you need in total with AS + A2 to get an A or A*?

Phew hopefully ill get 36-40 marks for that question. I got 90% last year so...you?
For the age 40 marker on 'marxist explanations of age inequality' against paragraphs I did functionalist, feminist and postmodernist vs three paragraphs on marxism. I didn't have time to talk about weberian or interactionist but does that matter? I thought the structure was 6 theorists anyway so I thought I was fine but now I'm not so sure..? help!

That's fine as for age there isn't much to write about the weberian theory. Interactionist don't come up in g674
