Predict your A/AS level Mathematics UMS!

Hi!
Now that nearly all maths exams have finished, I thought I'd make a thread to see how close each of our estimations are!

Make sure to check back on results day to compare estimated with actual!!
Even though we obviously don't know grade boundaries yet, its enjoyable to estimate!

Exams I've sat so far this year:
C1 ~75ums
C2 ~80ums
C3 ~88-90ums
C4 ~85ums
S1 ~93ums
M1 ~78ums

FP1 ~70ums
FP2 ~65ums
M2 ~75ums

TBD after next week:
FP3 ~60-70ums
S2 ~75ums
D2

Looks like AB in Maths/FM so far.

In in Year 12 doing maths and further maths:
C1: 100
C2: 99
C3: 88-90
M1: 85
S1: 85-88
M2: ~80
S2: Haven't done it yet but need 100

I might get less than this but this is a rough estimate. I think I'll get predicted A*A for maths and further maths, really disappointed this year but it's my own fault, I'll be retaking C3 and M2 to make sure I get A*A* next year.
Let's inject some positive energy into this thread- come on guys, you can do it!!

You're not doing that badly then- earlier you were telling me that you failed m2 and fp1 and did badly on a lot of exams but it doesn't look that bad... This will be AA, not AB as long as you ace the rest of you're xams

Ahahaha, 65ums is pretty much a fail tho tbf :tongue:

Hopefully, we'll have to see whether FP3 is nice and whether I don't foolishly mess up S2 or D2.
Lol I'm looking at all the high scores on here and I'm just like what am I doing haha

Is FP3 harder than the other fp's or no? Because people in the year above have told me that fp1 is pretty easy..

FP3 is tough, more difficult than the other fps by far but doable with a decent paper.

Idk, FP1 is usually easy but this year was hard for me.

Ah ok, good luck then! But how are you doing D2 without D1? Don't you need to know the basics first? I don't know cause I haven't done either yet

Achieved AS scores, thought I would add these as an afterthought to try and show people that not doing too great in A1 isn't necessarily the end of the 100 ums dream lol

M2: 90/?
C3: 95/?
C4: 100/?
Basically just based off the raw scores I think I got depending on unofficial markschemes. Haven't tried to predict grade boundaries

This year - predicted
C3: 95
C4: 83
FP3: 80
S2: 95
S3: ?
M2: 100

So basically, think I'm heading towards an A* in Further Maths yet only an A in Maths :lol: expecting to miss the A* by only a couple UMS which will be a real killer as it's stupid mistakes that let me down. Both my firm and insurance want A* Maths too :frown:

I'm hoping to be comfortably into an A grade, maybe if I'm lucky grade boundaries will be different and I can scrape an A* but I really doubt that'll happen. I'm just annoyed that I messed up a fairly easy C4 paper tbh.
