G485 physics questions from Cambridge paper

Heads up guys.2 of the questions on g484 were taking straight off of cambridge international examination papers from 2003 and 2004.
I URGE everyone here to start going through the papers here:
http://papers.xtremepapers.com/CIE/Cambridge%20International%20A%20and%20AS%20Level/Physics%20%289702%29/
Lets make this a community effort, if you come across a tricky g485 based question, post it below. Considering 2 of the questions were taken off of these papers, I wouldnt be surprised if g485 papers were either.

*edit*
The papers you're looking for need to have "qp" in the name presumably for question paper. Anything else is irrelevant Cambridge material
I'll be updating a lot of tricky questions from these papers below:
Q5)b)

Not too tricky at all, but it's a ratio question, ocr seem to like those... Id recommend giving it a try

They really are the same questions.

Yup. Just different values.
So I'm fully expecting repeats on g485.
That's why i made this thread, so as a group we could go through them posting any tricky ones that come up. So far I've found nothing but pretty basic electric and magnetic field stuff.

I'm still revising my Notes. Going to start doing past papers tomorrow.

Fair enough.
My revision is solely past papers. Never made notes, maybe I should have...
I'll be going through all of these anyway, so if anything difficult comes up ill post it on here. Just hoping a couple others over the next few days could pitch in.

Different methods works for different people. I personally like to go deeply into each topic, understand everything and then do past papers. I can post my Notes if you want me too. They are quite good. A* notes.

Yeah sure
No offence but I likely wont read them extensively, because im not much of a note person, but it cant hurt at all.
Strange how different people learn, I literally do paper after paper until I start acing everything i do.
Some of the EXACT titles of essay questions on Medical Physics, say 4 - 8 markers may also repeat! Check out their mark schemes and learn them, as they may repeat exactly the same in the exam!
E.g. CT (CAT) scan 5 marker appeared in of the earlier cambridge papers, and what was the 5 marker essay question in G485 in last year's exam? CAT scan!
.
Cheaky OCR:tongue:

So are those in some of the papers i've linked or do you have one you could share with a list of these papers?

As it takes long for me to upload these, I will post 2 here, and if you want the other topics let me know. I hope they help.

Mate don't *urge* everyone to do it, you'l raise the grade boundaries as people will do better, making it harder for you to get your grade! Remember OCR wants a finite number of people getting particular grades, regardless if people are cleverer or not. OCR are cheaky I know but they are still not a joke, they can easily screw us over in the next paper.

And that's incredibly selfish...

To be honest, I dont need to worry. I get 90 minimum on every paper, so I comfortably get 100% ums which is more than I need. I need 60/150 ums for an A in physics, so Im completely fine help others. Besides, theres about 150 papers to go through, i doubt many people will have the work ethic to trawl through so many papers. I've gone through about 80 of them so far. It's a couple days before the exam, they cant change a thing about it now.
