You'll never (or as good as never, incredibly unlikely) make a profit in the long run, the odds ect will almost guarantee this. They are a business like any other, they're in it to make money. If you could really go there every day and stand a realistic chance of leaving with more than you came with, then they'd have gone bust pretty quickly. I personally wouldn't find emptying my pockets into a fruit machine every day particularly entertaining. Each to their own, but I think I'd rather get a hobby, and spend the money on something useful instead. Or you could save up for a holiday, do some sports, go out for a meal, go to a cinema/music concerts, and get out and enjoy yourself with friends instead.

I had a part time ''job'' doing matched betting which I found personally satisfying and profitable, but I do not count that gambling. I simply like maths and I like getting one over the system.

Gambling is a past-time, personally I derive no sense of enjoyment from the idea of shoving a load money on a game of pure chance where I have no control over the outcome. It's like drinking alcohol, in the long-term it's bad for you, you're paying for a thrill and some people enjoy that.

Matched Betting is not gambling though as you're simply making use of free bets. If you're gambling on the euro for example, and watching it with your family that's fine but lotteries etc are a waste of money.

If you are going to gamble do it properly.

First of all do not play casino games online. Go to a casino in London. I recommend Crockford's.

Play something like Blackjack which has an element of skill. Read books about it. Learn basic strategy. Learn to card count. Bet small. Don't drink. And most importantly of all, black tie.

Gambling in property requires vastly more capital. Why is black tie relevant?

To a person who views £80 as an expensive jacket losing £40-£60 a day is a lot of money and is likely to put you in financial difficulty. Also people who gamble for enjoyment would probably pretty quickly lose enjoyment if they were losing every day.

There is a big difference, the quality the looks it would last longer and make you feel better, what if that £60 top went down to £20 on sale would you buy it
