What would you do if someone you loved got on drugs?

Would you date a smackie who was once clean?

And properly addicted not just partying hard from time to time
but like...dramatic life or die intervention status type of addiction
Like would you date a druggie/alcoholic if when you 1st got together they were straight and clean, and then they fell off after time? Would you break up with them during their struggle to kick the habit? Kick them out if they were living with you? Not let them come back in to couch surf for the night?

I would try to help them through their struggle, maybe rehab etc.

def not weed lol even though I know there's some ppl who are so intolerant of drugs altogether
but weed doesn't really **** you up like the others
so like if you know someone who started using class a or speed/amphetamines/whizz after you got with em what would you do? cheers.

well that's noble so like send them to rehab which is sooo expensive though lol like hundreds a wk so 1000s a month it costs. Somethin like that. So wrong.
so probably you'd have to try to coexist with them and get them off it yourself. Would you put up with that? The withdrawals, the whole grime of the lifestyle? >_>

If I truly loved the person then yes I atleast try to put up with it.

He's basically asking if your other half wasn't perfect would you throw them out like last weeks rubbish.

Would abandon them. No amount of Love and support cannot beat drug addiction. Trust me. The onus is on the addict to get through it. Drug addiction is one of the most powerful behaviors I've ever seen. It can bring a relationship to its knees and then some. I'd not continue a relationship with somebody who is a former addict.Honestly not worth the risk.

Wow. K, just wondering. So just one more time to ask:

you were in a long time relationship, maybe even married or with kids
and they ended up on drugs? You would honestly leave em?

Or a relative, you'd get your folks to bang em up or summat, kik em out? :erm:

Erm I'd be gravely concerned if my future wife ended up on hard, life wrecking drugs like cocaine/heroin. I'd do my absolute best to see them through it, for the sake of the family. If it's just a girlfriend, then I'd get out of there quick time. What do you mean bang em up? Kick them out of where?

Kick em out of the house obviously...Bang them up like arrest them like ring the police on them.

Well ok so you'd help them through it, thought so. A wife was "just as gf" before though so. But ok.


I must be mental cuz I wouldn't abandon em, I'm not abandoning them now and I'm dealing with something myself and if someone abandoned me I'd probably end em. Like the rage I would have.
