Depends, I personally do BTEC because thats the only exam board for the course of Acting in my college. However, one cannot agree with the idea that it's for dumb people. Yes, it can be however it all depends on how much care and love you put into the course.
There have been more than enough posts about it already. And people will always disagree about it so create your own opinion.
Having done both, it really depends on multiple things like:
1. How sure you are of what you want to do
2. What course you want to do
3. Do you want to go to uni or go straight into work
4. Where you are doing them

They are much easier, have friends who get top marks in media but will fail everything else
