Mourinho is probably one of the only managers in the game right now who has the balls to drop Rooney. He dropped Casillas at Real so it is perfectly possible.

I think Mourinho could turn Jones into a half decent defender tbh. Gary Cahill is half the player Phil Jones is, and Mourinho made him look like one of the best defenders in the country. Question, inevitably, is if he can stay fit.
That's the thing, he can't stay fit. He's proven himself over all these years that we've had him that he's simply unable to string a run of games together. No point giving him another chance, it's time to sell him so he can go and be injured somewhere else.
And tbh it's not even like he's a decent defender. Very average imo.
